Shoulder Love 💚 A Yoga Workshop for Healthy Shoulders, Neck and Upper Back
Saturday 18th February 2-4pm
Would you like to enjoy greater health, wellbeing and ease in your shoulders and neck? Many of us tend to hold some tension and stress in the shoulders and neck, or even experience RSI (repetitive strain injury) from working on computers. If you would like to relieve tension, create greater mobility, strength, and health in your shoulders and neck and upper back, this workshop is for you.
We will work with yoga practices to stabilise and strengthen the shoulder girdle. After, we will explore how to use yoga therapy balls to target tight spots and untie the knots that bind us in this sensitive area. The practice will also include supported restorative yoga poses to further calm and soothe the mind and upper body, ending in a thoroughly relaxing yoga nidra. You will leave with a new sense of space, freedom and ease!
All are welcome, including complete beginners

Become Present- Yoga for Grounding
Sunday 26th February 1-3pm
The theme of this yoga practice is to bring us into the present moment. Often we live very much in our minds, spending vast amounts of time planning ahead or thinking back, this yoga practice can help us become more at peace by relaxing in to the here and now, otherwise we often miss the beauty in the present moment. As we are in transition from winter to spring, coming into a brighter more hope filled season, a practice like this helps us to pause and take this in. We will start by feeling our physical connection to the ground, bringing our attention from the mind into the rest of our body. When we are paying attention to the body the mind can begin to come into rest. The idea of grounding is also a mental shift. This practice helps us to realize we are not just our mind and egos, cultivates a sense of belonging and stabilises our energy.
In order to have harmony and balance and to make things happen and manifest in our lives, we must move energy downward and become grounded. When we are not grounded we can become anxious, unsure, and exhausted. This practice is an opportunity to ground ourselves, physically, mentally and emotionally. It will include yoga, pranayama and end with restorative yoga, all designed to help you feel more cantered, present and relaxed.
A 2 hour Yoga practice can be a great introduction if you are a beginner OR a chance to deepen the practice if you already attend classes.
