Our Philosophy: Phoenix Yoga Studio is the antidote to the gym! We believe that everybody can gain benefits from yoga, regardless of age, shape, fitness level or size, and all in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Our classes are run in a safe, supportive environment, with teachers who are passionate about yoga. We offer classes and workshops for everyone, so if you just want to relax and chill out or work up a sweat, there's a class for you!

Pregnancy yoga, private antenatal classes/yoga for birth workshops, Mother & Baby yoga, Infant Massage, antenatal hypnotherapy and antenatal reflexology are all provided by caring and experienced professionals.

Nine Months courses have been designed to enable couples to feel they can approach birth with knowledge and confidence. Combining knowledge of the labour and birthing process with the benefits of yoga, this workshop covers many topics, including:

An Evening to Relax & Unwind: Fridays September 5th and 26th - 7-9pm
Evening workshops to set you up for the weekend! A practice by candlelight to deeply unwind mind and body. Deep stretching and breathing to bring ease from the busyness of the week, creating space and lightness on all levels. An opportunity to let go of stress and tension and enjoy deep relaxation. We will combine yin and restorative yoga and end with yoga nidra, also known as yogic sleep! Just show up and relaxation is guaranteed!
Autumn Equinox Workshop, Yoga for Balance Sat 20th September 2014
Autumn Equinox is the point of balance between Summer and Spring, when day and night are of equal length. It marks the beginning of the more dormant phase of the year. A time to pause and acknowledge what we have completed so far in the year and rest before rushing headlong into more tasks’s and projects. We will use this yoga practice to attune the body , breath and energy to the rhythm of this part of the earth’s natural cycle. This enables us to rest, renew and connect to our deepest inner wisdom. The first part of the practice will start with pranayama and gentle yoga to draw our attention inwards, working on balance and focus in mind and body. We will then enjoy a restful restorative practice to allow the body to renew, a little bit like pressing the reset button for you nervous system!
A 2 hour Yoga practice can be a great introduction if you are a beginner OR a chance to deepen the practice if you already attend classes.

Foundations: Building Blocks
Focus: Ages 13 - 18
PI 2 expands on the foundations of PI 1. You will study the internal and external changes in teenagers, and how changes can alter the teens’ yoga experience. This training will provide you with a deeper understanding of how to successfully shift teaching practices to connect with teens.
Materials: To keep the world green for our children, we deliver our course materials digitally. You will receive a digital copy of our course introduction packet and 400 page curriculum upon registration for this Institute.
