Our Philosophy: Phoenix Yoga Studio is the antidote to the gym! We believe that everybody can gain benefits from yoga, regardless of age, shape, fitness level or size, and all in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Our classes are run in a safe, supportive environment, with experienced teachers who are passionate about yoga. We offer classes and workshops for everyone, so if you just want to relax and chill out or work up a sweat, there's a class for you!
From Here to Maternity: We also offer a full range of classes and services for mums and parents to be. Pregnancy yoga, private antenatal classes/yoga for birth workshops, Mother & Baby yoga and antenatal massage and reflexology are all provided by caring and experienced professionals.

Nine Months courses have been designed to enable couples to feel they can approach birth with knowledge and confidence. Combining knowledge of the labour and birthing process with the benefits of yoga, this workshop covers many topics, including:
Understanding the process of labour
Breathing and relaxation techniques
Use of movement and gravity assisted positions
Parentcraft and the transition to parenthood
Led by registered midwife Elizabeth McGovern and Birthlight yoga teacher Laura Feeney

POP UP New Year Rest, Renew & Restore Yoga by Candlelight - Feel the LOVE!

Cultivating positivity and LOVE this Valentines weekend. This pop up class is an opportunity to take some time out for deep rest and relaxation and to connect inwards. A deeply relaxing practice to bring awareness to the heart centre, along with the chest and upper back area. An opportunity to release tension and body armouring in this area which can be caused by stress, grief, posture and lack of kindness toward ourselves. Our breathing can become shallow if there is tension here which effects overall wellbeing. The restorative practice features long holds in gentle heart opening poses to bring about a sense of balance, lightness and joy, fostering feelings of kindness, love and forgiveness.
This is a great time of year to do this practice, as we shake off winter and open spring, a time of hope and possibility. Also, relaxation is something we must train the body to do; it is like a muscle that must be exercised. Something we often forget about doing in the busyness of modern life. Physiologically this type of practice takes us out of sympathetic nervous system dominance (stress) into parasympathetic dominance (rest and digest), unless we do something to make this switch on a regular basis, we easily become overwhelmed and exhausted! I hope you can show yourself some love and treat yourself to this lovely practice and a Yoga Nidra. (Yogic Sleep!)

Often when we engage in a physical activity, whatever form it may take, we are doing so with an eye on some future idea of ourselves - we practice NOW to feel stronger, faster, better LATER. While having goals is beneficial, we can miss out on giving ourselves the gift of feeling better in the body we have now.
These workshops are an opportunity to check in with yourself as you are today. Through yoga movement, postures, breathing and relaxation, we will explore how to release tension and holding patterns in the body. We will work from head to toe, helping you to reconnect to your present self and to feel better in your own skin today. Future you will thank you!

Introduction to Yoga
This is the ideal class for those starting out on their yoga journey. Intro to Yoga is a slower-paced class that focuses on correct alignment in each posture. It is designed to introduce complete beginners to the basic principles and practices of yoga. This provides the beginner with a solid foundation for a safe and suitable yoga practice.
Throughout the course, participants will learn key yoga poses, yoga breath awareness and gentle meditative techniques

Bi-Monthly Mindfulness Meditation Classes
These classes are suitable for all kinds of beginners. Mindfulness meditation is a specific form of meditation that involves paying attention to our moment to moment experience with kindly interest. In these classes, we practice seated meditations with guidance inviting us to focus our attention on the breath and other aspects of our experiences. These classes will run every week … Come to one or all!
