Our Philosophy: Phoenix Yoga Studio is the antidote to the gym! We believe that everybody can gain benefits from yoga, regardless of age, shape, fitness level or size, and all in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Our classes are run in a safe, supportive environment, with experienced teachers who are passionate about yoga. We offer classes and workshops for everyone, so if you just want to relax and chill out or work up a sweat, there's a class for you!
From Here to Maternity: We also offer a full range of classes and services for mums and parents to be. Pregnancy yoga, private antenatal classes/yoga for birth workshops, Mother & Baby yoga and antenatal massage and reflexology are all provided by caring and experienced professionals.

Nine Months courses have been designed to enable couples to feel they can approach birth with knowledge and confidence. Combining knowledge of the labour and birthing process with the benefits of yoga, this workshop covers many topics, including:
Understanding the process of labour
Breathing and relaxation techniques
Use of movement and gravity assisted positions
Transition to parenthood
Led by registered midwife Elizabeth McGovern and Birthlight yoga teacher Laura Feeney

Imbolc- Welcome Spring with Yoga
Saturday Jan 31st 2015 at 1-3pm
Imbolc in the Celtic wheel of the year marks the beginnings of Spring. It is time filled with promise and possibility. Just as the life force reawakens in nature, the same life force or prana begins to move to manifest our ideas and intentions.
This workshop is time out to connect to this life force and creative energy and to become more grounded in the now through our Yoga practice. An opportunity to come into stillness, to rest, rejuvenate and gently open and release deep held tension that can gather in the winter months.
A 2 hour Yoga practice can be a great introduction if you are a beginner OR a chance to deepen the practice if you already attend classes.

New for 2015 - Mindfulness-Based Meditation and Stress Reduction Classes
Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR): MBSR is an evidence-based 8 week course that gives participants the opportunity to learn about mindfulness, practice meditations, breathing awareness and gentle movement activities.
Fridays 10.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. from 6th February. Introductory cost €280.
Introductory Meditation Classes (€10 per class):
• Friday 16th January 10.00 to 11.30 a.m.
• Tuesday 20th January 7.30 to 9.00 p.m.
• Saturday 31st January 10.00 to 11.30 a.m.
Mindfulness is about being aware of our life experiences as they unfold, moment by moment, by paying attention with kindness, curiosity and acceptance. Research on mindfulness shows that regular practice boosts the immune system, reduces stress and worry and increases concentration, happiness and creativity.
